About Cherokee Riders, INC.
Cherokee Riders was established in 2002, by Thomas R. McGhee to provide Fairbanks, and the surrounding communities with quality driver's training and motorcycle safety courses. Thomas, the owner and main instructor for Cherokee Riders, has been SHARING his passion and teaching Driver's Education for 19 years; as well as, teaching people the Safety of motorcycle riding for over 23 years.
At Cherokee Riders, INC. our very first priority is safety, and teaching our students Effective, safe habits and skills to use every day. WE PRIDE OURSELVES IN THE DIVERSITY OF OUR STUDENTS. We've taught ages 14-72 years of age, to include high school students -public and home school- people with minimal English from all over the world, special-needs teens and adults. We even proudly serve our military with not only the motorcycle training, but driver's training as well.

Certified by the National Safety Council
Certified Driver's Instructor (State and National)
Certified Defensive Driving Instructor (State)
50 years of experience riding motorcycles
Road Test Conductors:
Living in the Fairbanks area for over 10 years, Charlotte Swearingen, started with Cherokee Riders Inc. about three years ago as a receptionist. She has built her training up to be able to conduct the DMV Class D Road Test exam. She enjoys sharing the knowledge from our Educator, Thomas, as well as providing information you may need to look up the driving manual on the DMV website.
